Many young drivers involved in road crashes because of their hasty driving and treated the car as if their first toy driving so fast, changing lane, unnecessary overtaking and engaging into road racing that lead to accident.
When you drive in a manual transmission make sure to follow the
necessary steps before starting your engine.
1. Be fore you enter inside your car the best practice is to check your car’s tire inflation volume
2. Check the car’s body for scratches, if any you can lodge a complaint or investigate if you park your car in the public or paid parking places. Check both side mirror if the two are properly positioned.
3. Get inside the car, make yourself comfortable adjust the seat if necessary. Do not buckle your seatbelt yet.
4. Check the center mirror put it in the right angle for your convenience make sure not to touch the mirror itself with your finger as it may create a blind spot should the mark too obvious. Adjust he mirror by holding the sides and properly position according to you. Do not forget to buckle your seat belt this time.
5. Check both side mirror if they are position and properly adjusted according to your convenient
6. Before inserting the key into the ignition check the gear if it is in the neutral position.

1. Check the gear if it is in the neutral position then insert the key into the ignition apply light pressure then switch to start position. If everything is set the engine should start without problem.
2. Before moving the car by engaging the transmission to the first gear make check you left and right front and back or even the incoming vehicle to avoid accident. Press down fully the clutch then move your gear shift to left up position ([1st gear Left up] [2nd gear left down] [3rd gear center up] [ 4th gear center down] [ 5th gear right up] and [reverse is right down]) slowly release your foot to the clutch pedal it should enough to start the vehicle to move and completely release your foot to the clutch pedal and apply light pressure on the accelerator pedal when necessary (Left – Clutch Pedal . Center – Break Pedal. Right – Accelerator Pedal)
3. Always use the side and center mirror to monitor the incoming traffic. Do not let you car engine roar too hard, to increase your speed press down fully clutch then put your gear shift to left down to engage second gear slowly release your left foot from the clutch pedal to prevent your car from stalling.
4. When you need to increase your speed be cautious always check your center and side mirror but do not let your eyes checking those mirror too long as it might create an accident. Changing your gear to 3rd gear press down fully the clutch put your gear shift to center up position to engage the 3rd gear use the timing to release the clutch pedal by depressing it slowly. When driving in the highway you need to apply more speed put your gear shift to center up position to engage 4th gear and still apply timing by depressing the clutch pedal slowly. When Changing the gear to 5th put your gear shift to the right most up position to engage the 5th gear but prior to that the clutch must be fully press down to allow you to change from 4th to 5th gear.
5. When approaching the traffic or when you need to stop decrease your speed by downshifting. Do not engage your gear to second or third gear immediately as it may apply engine break and will lead to accident. When necessary apply break by pressing the break pedal slowly apply necessary pressure when needed then fully press the clutch and put your gear to center down to engage 4th then release the clutch with timing if you are still approaching too fast apply break change your gear to 3rd gear by pressing your clutch move your gear to center up for the third gear to avoid engine break slowly release the cutch pedal and then hit the break put the gear to second or in neutral if traffic is too heavy.
